hp omnicept vr headset

HP asked Versus to create an internal video introducing a new VR technology concept centered around HP Omnicept, a headset designed with integrated sensors that capture a range of user data to help create more responsive and adaptive experiences.

The live-action portion was shot on a relatively small green-screen stage, which limited how much we could physically move the camera around the subject. To work around that, we kept the camera locked off and placed the actor on a turntable. By rotating the subject instead of the camera, we were able to create the illusion of dynamic 360-degree camera movement while working within the constraints of the space.

I was primarily responsible for carrying the project from start to finish, handling the creative development, visual execution, and final delivery. It was a substantial undertaking for a single artist, but also an incredibly rewarding one. Having full ownership of the project allowed me to shape every stage of the process and ultimately deliver a piece I was especially proud of.
