airbnb go live outro

For Airbnb’s May 2026 launch, CEO Brian Chesky delivered a live keynote unveiling new features across the app. For the online audience, the team wanted to end the presentation with a cinematic outro that extended the experience beyond the stage.

The concept was ambitious: begin inside Airbnb’s San Francisco headquarters, travel through the space, and ultimately land on a rooftop billboard overlooking the city. While the idea was initially considered as a live-action shoot, the team quickly shifted toward an AI-driven approach to create the sequence.

I was responsible for developing the animation and also built the final billboard with a green-screen treatment, allowing the messaging to remain flexible and be updated independently while creative approvals were still in progress. This gave the team the freedom to continue refining the final message without impacting the completed animation.
